Guy got a vasectomy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then the wife got pregnant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Suitably outraged at being married to a harlot, the man demanded a paternity test and a divorce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Oops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Turns out, the kid was his biological. 23 and me, indeed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So now the guy is suing the doctor for the failed procedure. Can you win a civil suit for the cost of raising an unintended kid to 18? There have been actions for \u201cwrongful life\u201d but courts generally don\u2019t like those \u2026 \u201cyou should not have been born\/here, have some money\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Guy\u2019s a major jerk, tho\u2019 \u2026 guess an apology and some contrition costs more than child support. He broke his home on a presumption rather than actual fact \u2026 sometimes those things reverse, methinks that fairly common knowledge even if the occurrence is fairly uncommon \u2026 probably should have gotten the test before embracing his outrage \u2026 shoulda-woulda-coulda \/ didn\u2019t-won\u2019t-can\u2019t. Good luck with alimony and child support for the next 20 years and yes<\/em> she gets all of his everything (cringeshudder<\/em>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n And in other news \u2026 some baby mama\u2019s baby daddy asked for a paternity test because, y\u2019know, mama\u2019s baby is daddy\u2019s maybe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n She was all offended, he didn\u2019t trust her, thought she was a thot (see, I\u2019m hip<\/em> \u2026 or is that already that\u2019s pass\u00e9? Touch\u00e9), so she decided to break their already broken home, take her baby, and leave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Because it\u2019s all about her, see. Not about the kid. Not about the fact that she birthed\/he sired a bastard, illegitimacy for everyone, but because she\u2019s all up in her feelings, the child now gets a part-time dad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2018Coz that\u2019s so much better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n How about this? How about getting the test, be proven not to be a complete and total whore, then engage in some conversation with the other half of your illegitimate child re the trust issues so at least the kid has the possibility of being raised by two full-time parents, who \u2014 even if they didn\u2019t love\/respect each other enough to make it official\/legitimize the kid \u2014 would at least be present for the day2day? How about that? No? Too much?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Oh right; that would require (1) maturity, (2) accountability, and (3) craniorectal surgery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Is the apocalypse here? Why yes, yes it is. It\u2019s called a slow burn, and we\u2019re all feeling the heat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Point?\u00a0 Neither marriage nor bastardy seem to work between modern men and women, and the children are the ones who legitimately (see what I did there?) suffer.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n The debts owed to the next generation will simply be passed down \u2026 rinse\/recycle\/repeat … What have we done.
