{"id":1329,"date":"2023-12-02T16:15:13","date_gmt":"2023-12-02T16:15:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/moneyaintmath.com\/?p=1329"},"modified":"2023-12-02T16:16:04","modified_gmt":"2023-12-02T16:16:04","slug":"a-flying-building-really","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/moneyaintmath.com\/?p=1329","title":{"rendered":"A Flying Building?\u00a0 Really?\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Well that was entertaining.\u00a0 But Steve always (well, mostly \u2026 almost) is.\u00a0 <br>Hearts in Atlantis made <em>no<\/em> sense.\u00a0 Anyhoo \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the things I like best about Stephen King\u2019s writing is how so many of his protagonists are young boys\/men, right on the cusp of adulthood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Must be some lingering trauma there, but makes for good reads yesyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just finished <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The Institute<\/span>, and \u2026 well, if you (Other Person, You) are already a fan then would recommend, if just for the nostalgia of being a Gentle Reader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If not, would recommend something else \u2026 <em>spoiler alert!!!<\/em>:&nbsp; the levitating building caused some serious side-eye, but otherwise kinda mostly fun.&nbsp; Felt bad for Avery.&nbsp; He should\u2019ve have a chance.&nbsp; But!&nbsp; Steve ran Gage over with an oil tanker, so there\u2019s that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sure, why not.&nbsp; And then donate, local library or thrift store.&nbsp; Pay it forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reading \u2013 even if the story ain\u2019t perfect \u2013 is fundamental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking of \u2026 theKid has to do a book report \/ second one this year already \/ and was having fits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first book <em>suuuuuuuuucked<\/em>, and theKid fussed and birched and moaned the entire time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hated it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So this time made sure to choose a story with some action, rather than one with just a funky, semi-cool title.\u00a0 Actually researched the read before selecting it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We got Earth vaporized by the sun.&nbsp; We got vengeful aliens.&nbsp; We got hero kids saving stupid adults.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All good fun.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Read to a kid, and instill the love of story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Teach a kid to read to discover stories to love.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Well that was entertaining.\u00a0 But Steve always (well, mostly \u2026 almost) is.\u00a0 Hearts in Atlantis made no sense.\u00a0 Anyhoo \u2026 One of the things I like best about Stephen King\u2019s writing is how so many of his protagonists are young boys\/men, right on the cusp of adulthood.
