With each conversation, I gain a greater understanding that I am not what Half wants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Half is a talker. Likes to talk. Needs to talk. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I, however, am not. I talk to myself. And to God. Jesus is a great listener {Matt. 11:30<\/em>}<\/p>\n\n\n\n And I\u2019ve always been fairly self-sufficient. Not so good with money but always made more, so not that much of a deal, and never had a real strong need for people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Not so with Half. Half \u2026 is a people person, a person of people. An extrovert\u2019s loud neighbor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Prior to the legalized union of finances and misery, in the thick midst of singledom I once took time off work to spend five solid days in my apartment. Didn\u2019t even go outside to move my car. So nice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I\u2019ve heard it said that opposites attack. Heh<\/em>. I like that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Too bad, tho\u2019 \u2026 was hoping to spare theKid the burden of the broken home, but feeling some movement in that general direction these days. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Reason #870,564 not to have children: Everything wrong with them is 100% your fault. The arrogance \u2026 the ego<\/em> \u2026 of thinking one is qualified to actually raise another human to adulthood. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Just \u2018cuz you can don\u2019t mean you should.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Do it not for you; do it not for them<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Maybe one of us will die first, avoid that type of unpleasantness, just wear the badge of the dead spouse with honor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Suicide doesn\u2019t count, tho\u2019, and we\u2019ll each be the first suspect if the other dies under \u2026 suspicious circumstances. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Not sure what to do, except pray on it.\u00a0 Funnily enough (but not truly really) I always get an answer.\u00a0 Might not be the one I was expecting\/hoping\/thinking, but it\u2019s an answer.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n And funnily enough (GOD is<\/span> awesome<\/strong><\/em>) it’s always the right\/goodest\/best one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Maybe just need to be still.
