{"id":705,"date":"2021-10-17T17:20:06","date_gmt":"2021-10-17T17:20:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/moneyaintmath.com\/?p=705"},"modified":"2021-10-17T17:20:59","modified_gmt":"2021-10-17T17:20:59","slug":"no-it-cant-actually-buy-happiness-but-the-peace-of-mind-it-can-purchase-is-priceless","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/moneyaintmath.com\/?p=705","title":{"rendered":"No, It Can\u2019t Actually Buy Happiness BUT &#8230;                        the Peace of Mind It Can Purchase is Priceless"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dunno who came up with the slogan, <em>Money can\u2019t buy happiness<\/em> [googling isn&#8217;t a word] but it sure as biscuits can make you less sad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I\u2019m\/we\u2019re 90% certain that current problems in the co-parenting roommate relationship (oh wait\u2014I meant \u201c<em>marriage<\/em>\u201d) are related to my wholesale indifference to money and Half\u2019s total, unabashed commitment to it.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not that that\u2019s necessarily <em>bad<\/em> \u2026 we just started off on the wrong foot, and methinks are now stumbling off towards the end.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Was at an event for theKid and witnessed another kid\u2019s dad attending the event with the New Girlfriend while that kid\u2019s mom sat alone on the opposite end of the bench.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What the actual fuh \u2026 ?&nbsp; That kid performed like crap \u2013 worth noting \u2013 and seemed a bit distracted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Or maybe just me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Saw a bunch of articles offering strategies to stay in a bad, loveless, disrespectful marriage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not encouraging, exactly, but it could be worse.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No physical violence, but me and Half are so far apart we dwell in different dimensions.&nbsp; Which wouldn\u2019t be bad, necessarily, except for the fact that Half still feels the need to comment on my reality, whereas I\u2019m perfectly happy to leave Half unchallenged in Half\u2019s, as long as there are no third parties involved\u2014oh wait\u2014{<em>Mark 10:7<\/em>}<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My point?
