Just got a summons and complaint for one of my monkeys, a particularly large one at that, and here I thought I was awaiting settlement terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Well, hell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A problem, but not insurmountable.\u00a0 Settlement (ah-hem satisfaction<\/em>) is still an option, likely just for more than originally hoped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Ah well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Half is especially shrill right now \u2026 of course the process server came on a Sunday, and of course Half answered the door. <\/p>\n\n\n\n I don\u2019t discuss funds with Half but what did God say?\u00a0 Something about everything in the dark will come to the light.\u00a0 {Mark 4:22<\/em>}<\/p>\n\n\n\n So, the suckery continues. Funnily enough, I\u2019m entirely unstressed at getting sued. It will resolve as it resolves, and God still runs my show. <\/p>\n\n\n\n I will admit to a bit of stress re Half being involved. I hate to involve Half in anything that causes Half stress. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Aside from me, a\u2019cours. I am a constant and consistent source of that, unfortunately albeit unintentionally. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Not too long ago, in the midst of yet another disagreement of which I (a\u2019cours) was the problem, Half said we never should have gotten married but, err-uh, it\u2019s a bit late now. And I agree with the general sentiment, sort of, but then theKid would not exist and my single positive life accomplishment would not have occurred \u2026 so that\u2019s there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Goody for me\/us(maybe?) Half doesn\u2019t believe in divorce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Not yet, anyway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Part of our ongoing problem is that, for us, $$$ has always been a \u2026 touchy subject, better left untouched. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Saw an online thing \u2026 a man asked his daughter to tell him the two most important aspects of marriage to consider before tying the knot (a noose, perhaps?) \u2026 she replied, \u201cRespect and communication.\u201d\u00a0 Dad was quick to correct \u2013 \u201cSex and money;\u201d if compatible there, everything else will work out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Couldn\u2019t agree more. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Whelp, THAT didn\u2019t work.
