Yes a fat, but again do not shame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Last to the party \u2014 but in defense wasn\u2019t actually invited \u2014 on this whole SI cover dispute. Four different covers, four different women, and surprisingly not a trans amongst them. That was last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Digress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Old broad, black chick, Kartrashian, and a whale. The whale is currently generating the most controversy, because, well, a whale. In a swimsuit. On the cover of a sports magazine. Traditionally intended for men.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Do we see the problem? No? OK I\u2019ll elucidate<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Backstory: Dr. Jordan Peterson sent out a tweet that said the fat woman on one of the covers for the 2022 Sports Illustrated swimsuit ed. was not beautiful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Truth is \u2013 she\u2019s not. Pretty in the face, lotsa guys\/some women would hit that, but beauty is reserved to the beautiful. And fat chicks ain\u2019t that. Body positivity can only spread so far. <\/p>\n\n\n\n But of course, because people are generally stupid (as opposed to ignorant), his comments were misquoted and caused a foot-stamping, flame-riddled, cancel-culture furor, and JBP rage-quit Twitter in a huff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Bad move, in my unlettered opinion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n He should have engaged. He should have explained. He should have faced the fury of the Internets with his usual aplomb, condescension, and snide. <\/p>\n\n\n\n But because he generally uses such high-falutin\u2019 language and 50-cent words, it was easy for the easily outraged to catch feelings (ain’t I hip!<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n JBP was not stating that he was being forced to be attracted to her, but that the perception of beauty is objective, that symmetry is the standard, and Fibonacci\u2019s golden ratio confirms she ain\u2019t that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n His objection (I believe) was to the attempt and effort to redefine beauty by installing a fat woman on the cover of a magazine that is supposed to \/ used to exemplify the intrinsic beauty of the physically fit, human female form.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n And the cynical hypocrisy of it is all the more offensive, more so than the actual disproportionate size of her body.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n If the true intent is to challenge stereotypical beauty norms, why not install Precious on the cover? Or Amy Schumer? Or some other gorgon? Nope. They used a fat girl with a pretty face, specifically to preserve pretty privilege while facilitating the modern woman to be lazy, sloven, and entitled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Gluttony is one of the seven deadly, and just because you can (eat) doesn\u2019t mean you should (eat). Guess back then thyroid disease only existed among the wealthy. yehrightno<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Some people just have slower metabolisms, which means those persons must eat better\/less and exercise consistently\/more.
