So do like this author … one of the untold/unappreciated best.  Came up with one of the best characters in a unique genre … sci-fi military horror.  Well go ‘haid.

Stephen King (the Mahstah) is known for his anthologies … “The Boogeyman” and “1408” are some of the absolute best in short chilling fiction … but methinks Jonathan Maberry runs a very tight ship at a close second. 

Just finished “Long Past Midnight” and must say must needs some backstory and richer, furrier tales(tails?) of Mike Sweeney and Antonio Jones and Sam Hunter … beasties, all.

Loving that.  Read Maberry’s trilogy re Pine Deep, such fun-filled massacre yup.  Melikes. 

Highly recommend for a bug-eyed, unlit open closet, flickering shape at peripheral vision read. 

And Captain Joe Ledger managed to survive the zombie apocalypse.  Right tight, right there.
