So what we have here, is a failure to communicate.  With the Constitution.  No, Fecal Baby, you cannot just throw tariffs on everything because you feel like, despite all learned economic wisdom, historical precedent, and just good common (not so much) sense.

Umm, global economy much?  It is, kinda, somewhat, all inextricably linked at this point. 

That “Ferd truhk” was manufactured in China, assembled in Mexico, then sold in the US.  Ya dip. 

Of course Clary Tom and the Grifters dissented.  Of course they did.  Never met a corruption at which they could not suckle, but at least there is some semblance of jurisprudential integrity remaining on the court.  At least there is that.  {Deuteronomy 16:19}

As a backseat quickie:  tariffs act as a tax on goods brought from one country and sold in another, designed/intended to foster consumer demand for goods produced in the home country (‘cuz home goods are [s’posed to be] cheaper/less expensive than foreign goods) but usually wind up making everything more expensive for everybody.

Smoot-Hawley, passed in 1930, likely contributed to (even greatly worsened) the Great Depression under Hoover, probably cost him a second presidential term, and ushered in the FDR years as well as the impetus for WWII.

Anyhoo, Einstein (or somebody) said something to the effect that the third world war would likely be the last one.  Now there is a stable genius.  Except for his socks.  And his front door. 

So now guessing the National Debt (as of date of this writing) sitting at nearly $40T (yes, that is a “T” as in “trillion”) to less than $6T of federal revenues is going to get real interesting, real fast. 

And how, do tell Uncle Sam, will those unconstitutionally seized funds be refunded?  Hmm?  Don’t think H&R Block or TurboTax is equipped for that … even with the glitches.

Speaking of … still need to file 2025.  Not sure how that will look with Half working/living out of state, but hey … interesting times. 

Would not be surprised if the seized Venezuelan assets (á la oil) will be used to pay that debt.  That, and another war.  Iran, anyone?  Anyone?  Maybe the Trumpiots will volunteer to fight.
