A father in New Jersey thought his kid was a little fat, decided to run the child to death on the apartment complex’s treadmill. Methinks not on purpose, just ignorant babydaddy jerk supreme.
An anti-momma’s boy from the great state of PA was charged for neglecting his ailing mother to the extent that her skin was found “fused” to the nasty bedsheets, within which the cops found all manner of bodily waste and fly larvae (yes that would be maggots) and “ram’s horn toenails” (shudder). Apparently, the not-so-good son just lived with his momma, the stench and the flies. She later (unsurprisingly) died in the hospital. Charges against the son pending cause of death (ya’think?)
Three men – two Australian brothers, guy from San Diego – go on a surfing trip to Baha California and end up dead at the bottom of a well, shot because a few douches wanted the tires off their truck.
A pretty, vivacious 19-year-old in Milwaukee went out on a date and wound up in pieces scattered all over the city, a first date gone catastrophically wrong. There’s another girl, 15 this time, who disappeared from home in the same city (isn’t Dahmer from there? Must be something in the water … guess that’s why they like their beer) and worked for the same place as the disarticulated chick.
Hmmm. Smells like teen killer.
A kid, only two weeks from his high school graduation, gets gunned down outside a house party. His family, ready for a celebration, is now preparing a funeral.
And finally: the Taliban announced that women found guilty of adultery will be stoned to death as punishment, which is apparently in direct contravention of the Quran. Interpretation/schmerpretation … we just want to kill birds. The Taliban also recently buried four people alive inside a wall. Dunno what they were accused of, but … probably doesn’t matter.
After all, Islam is a religion of peace.
Can the people leave, or are they stuck in Afghanistan? And if they could leave, where would they go? Inquiring minds.
What a world.
theKid just read a book written by a former child soldier in Sierra Leone. Said it was the best book theKid had ever read, and made theKid really appreciate life in the West, with all its petty issues and first world problems.
Silver linings, I guess. Our debt to/of/for hope.
Best/worst part is theKid knows GOD is in His heaven and will one day return to Earth, make all things new and ascend to His throne, but the world has to suck deep, fast, and hard … but for the elect’s sake He won’t let it get as bad as it could. {Mark 13:20}
So, as bad as things are … prepare for it all to get worse. And stay ready for His return.
