No, Actually.  Just Don’t

Well, lookee here.  Turns out – prolly don’t need to spend that on that ‘cuz that is mostly unnecessary.

Huh.

What was that perfect gem of GOD advice?  Don’t spend.

On p.314 (no pi for you – heh) Mr. Edelman explains that virtually all expenses are optional.

Huh.  Well, lookee there.

$100 lawn service?  Optional.

$200 cable bill?  Optional.

$140 Pilates membership?  Optional.

$500 grocery bill?  Optional.  Gotta eat, but ain’t gotta eat that.

Now admittedly, climate will dictate some spending … can’t live in Madison (WI) like Miami BUT but can shop smarter (thriftier, geddit?)

$300 winter coat?  Optional.  Go thrift-hunting, maybe organize a coat drive with the neighbors (yes will need to talk to people ewwww but words cheaper that REI)

Most spending is the result of habits, and patterns, and perception.
But the ability to change/alter/revise – improve does exist.

And – love this, love this so very hard (paraphrasing)
              — “got into debt because of attitude, not income” —

Say it again.

“WE ARE IN DEBT BECAUSE OF ATTITUDE, NOT INCOME!!!”

What’s that there’s that where’s that thing with the stuff about the y’know, over there. If each letter of the English alphabet is assigned in numerical order …

Accounts for way less than …

Which accounts for even less than …

Which still comes up short compared to …

Nicely put.  Cheesy … giving off the LIVE-LIFE-LOVE vibe but methinks no less valid.

Change the attitude, change the life.

Mindset / mind set / a set mind / is everything.

Simple, yet the hardest thing ever. Sigh.
