Called a lawyer to see about inflicting some financial injury on the face-tatted, poo-flinging monkey.
Gah, doan wanna, but hey … don’t start nothing, won’t be nothing.
Good news – bit of a packrat, so kept all communications, contracts, etc.
And megeddit … times are tough for everyone.
However.
Why make it tougher on a complete stranger, who asked for professional help?
Fun little factoid / probably should have discovered prior to but whatevs / this particular ape already has a conviction … for … the … exact … same … thing.
Misdemeanor, but still. Trying to get him/his served on Christmas because why not.
Haven’t heard back, expect that will need to reach out to a few before actually talking to someone official, but the process has begun. {Titus 3:14}
Got me thinking … living in a world where the grift is part of the expectation kinda sucks. On one of these neighborhood gossip apps, a well-known, highly advertised local contractor tried to scam an old man out of $30K for plumbing repairs that could be fixed simply by flushing less TP.
Wat. The actual.
Still not mad, tho’, recognize that other humans kind of suck / not all but enough / and just keep moving through, like poop through goose. Easy and smelly, like melike it.
The real offense here, and main reason progressing in this manner (rather than just chucking up and moving on) is the infliction of more debt monkeys to my special credit circus … was progressing nicely, feeding my monkeys with ever shrinking bananas and then … this.
But … such is the way of the world, by the ruler of this world.
AND, and got some valuable lessons in the process.
Learned to judge some books by their covers, might tell the whole story.
Learned that Half and other half are doing this alone and individually, despite the whole matrimony, joint filing, death do us part thing. You gots yurns, me gots mine. OK, hard to hear/handle, but OK …
Learned entire motivation for exiting the credit circus is in the form of a little person who is depending on Half and other half to – if not get it right, at least keep trying.
Education is expensive but gotta pay either in cash or experience, and sometimes both.
Still learning.
