One is a condition. The other? A mindset.
Mentioned mightily amongst these parts re the scammery committed against the Elder’s home, a certain face-tatted, poo-flinging monkey (accompanied by a twitchy band of roving merry tweakers) that attacked, left a mess. Bananas everywhere.
Still dealing with the fallout from that … saw online that it takes an average of 1-2 years to recover from a huge financial hit, assuming income levels remain … level.
Nevermindnonetheless, still striving towards feeding my monkeys, one banana at a time.
Slow going, tho’.
What with the recent money = madness, still never allowed the mindscape to accept the status quo as permanent … in perpetuity, say. Rather always believed that this, too, shall pass, and that all that is needed is to keep working towards the ultimate goal … Eyes on the Prize, as it t’were … and eventually those monkeys will starve.
One strategy used for paying down/off/away debt is making smaller payments to keep the balances even … say, when funds allow (hahahahahHA!!!) rather than $715.23, make a $15.23 payment off-cycle against the minimum amount due, looking at $700 even. Then make the minimum payment even as well … say, if the minimum is $25, pay another $25, now the bill is down to $650. When the interest rolls around again, pay just enough off-cycle to get even again (e.g., $664.78) pay that $14.78. Rinse, repeat, recycle.
More mental gymnastics than anything, but hey debt is all in the mind anyway …
… if don’t mind, really doesn’t matter. {John 14:27}
Gonna give a try for a few months, see if can make those monkeys smaller faster.
More bananas, less poo.
