Closing Time

“Woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck …” {Matt. 24:19; Mark 13:17; Luke 21:23}

Need more proof these are the last days?

How’s that formula shortage?  Anyone?  Anyone?  Baby starving because Mom didn’t/can’t breastfeed, and now the artificial stuff is in short supply?

Wow.  I mean, wah-ha-ha-ow.

Back in the 80’s there were rumors that some multi-conglomerate corporate beast was donating baby formula to moms in developing countries then stopped after all the breastmilk dried up.

Masters of mankind, indeed.

theKid breastfed from birth until six months, then got deposited into childcare and formula and early soft foods.

On reflection, methinks that was pretty good, considering present circumstances.

Read an article recently about lactation consultants (hey! they’re a thing!) and how there’s only like, four for every 1,000 new moms with new babies who would like to do the whole, y’know, as God and nature intended.

Aside from being eaten by predators, a mother/child is a fairly self-contained entity for the first year or so.  After growing a kid for about a year, if she can find food for herself she can make food for the kid with her own body, for about the same period of time.

How handy.  Aside from the predators, a’cours. Including those in human skin.
