Dare I say Mr. Anthony is “woke”?  Heaven forfend.

His workingman’s anthem certainly seems to have a bit of a socialist vibe … wanting a living wage for honest work, fair taxation system, the recognition of shared suffering …
“Living in the new world / with an old soul” … why yes, Mr. Anthony, seems you have … struck a chord (heh)

And when offered the opportunity to join the ranks of those eponymous rich men north of Richmond (did someone just say “masters of mankind”?) he politely declined.

Well played, Mr. Anthony.  Well played. Pun intended, all around.

He paid the debt of his truth with the cash offered by the exploiters.  No flash in the pan, he. 
No 15 minutes of fame.

Rather, a lifetime of infamy.  He will be remembered.
